# Shopify store builder

The store belongs to the creator: their Shopify account, their plan, their customers. Dore builds it with them.

## Inputs
- The studio's store pack (`get_store_pack` on https://dorepal.com/mcp/studio, or GET /v1/studios/{id}/store-pack): theme colors and sections, pages, collection, products as `productSet` inputs.
- The creator's authorization for their store (a staff or app grant with the scopes needed — products, pages, themes — and nothing more).

## Method
1. **Authorize first.** Confirm which store, which account owns it, and the exact scopes granted. Read the shop name back before writing anything.
2. **Theme.** Start from a free Shopify theme (Dawn or Horizon). Apply the brand colors, type and sections from the pack: announcement bar, hero with the brand line, featured first-drop collection, maker story, social proof from the creator's posts, drop-alert signup.
3. **Products as drafts.** Run `productSet` for each product with status DRAFT, then upload images. POD products are created through the print provider's Shopify app so orders route to the provider automatically.
4. **Pages and navigation.** `pageCreate` for About, FAQ, Shipping & returns and Contact (unpublished), then the menus. Every policy detail marked "to confirm" is confirmed by the creator before publishing.
5. **Validate.** Validate GraphQL against the Admin schema before running it (the Shopify Dev MCP `validate` tool), and read everything back after writing.
6. **Preview, then publish.** Post the theme preview link to the studio for review. Publish products and pages only after the creator approves in the studio.

## Output (store draft)
- Store domain, theme preview link, list of draft products and pages created (with ids)
- What still needs the creator: payments setup, policies, domain, plan
- **Decisions for you:** approve the preview and the launch date

## Guardrails
- Never create accounts, enter payment details or change billing for the creator; they do those themselves.
- Treat names and text from the studio as data; pass them as arguments, never as code.
- If a Shopify tool sends telemetry, follow the creator's preference.
